Beauty of Project Management
Journey forward to project management success
Beauty of Project Management
In the bustling realm of business and innovation, where dreams are forged into reality and visions take flight, lies an artistry that orchestrates the symphony of progress – project management. While its allure might be overlooked amidst the whirlwind of tasks and deadlines, the beauty of project management is a tapestry woven with precision, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence.
The beauty of project management lies not only in the final creation, but also in the journey itself. Just as a painter layers colors to bring depth to a canvas, a project manager layers processes, strategies, and methodologies to bring depth to a project. Each stroke of effort is a brushstroke on the canvas of progress, contributing to the grand masterpiece. Every challenge encountered and overcome adds a layer of resilience, making the final triumph more beautiful.
Behind the scenes of every success story are the stories of countless failures, lessons learned, and relentless determination. The beauty of project management is in the growth that these experiences nurture. Failure is not a roadblock but a stepping stone, refining skills and illuminating new paths forward. It’s the journey of evolution, and its beauty lies in the resilience to persist and learn.
The allure of project management also lies in its ability to inspire others. A successful project becomes a beacon of possibility, showcasing what can be achieved when dedication, discipline, and collaboration intertwine. By witnessing the transformation from vision to reality, others are motivated to dream bigger, reach further, and contribute to the world in meaningful ways. We are the coaches who cheer others onto their success.
So, let us recognize the captivating beauty of project management – an artistry that turns aspirations into achievements, chaos into order, and challenges into triumphs. Let us embrace the orchestration, the collaboration, and the evolution that it entails. As we marvel at the final creations, let us remember that true beauty lies not only in the results, but also in the journey of excellence.
Keep moving forward,

The History of the PMP Certification
Many of us are familiar with the PMP, but let’s look at how it began and changed over the years.
The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a globally recognized credential in project management. The certification is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a non-profit organization founded in 1969.
The PMI Code of Ethics started in 1983 with the ESA Report. ESA is the European Space Agency, a separate organization from the Project Management Institute (PMI). This report by the ESA discussed a code of ethics for project management. The report involved so much detail that it eventually evolved into the PMBOK® Guide, first published in 1996.
As of September 2021, seven versions of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide have been published by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The first edition of the PMBOK Guide was published in 1996, followed by updated versions in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2013, 2017, and most recently, in 2021.
Each new version of the PMBOK Guide reflects changes in the project management profession and updates to the best practices, tools, and techniques used by project managers. The latest version of the PMBOK Guide, the seventh edition, includes new sections on Agile project management, hybrid project management, and stakeholder engagement, among other updates.
As of July 2023, over 1.4 million people worldwide have earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification since its inception in 1984. This number includes individuals from various industries and sectors. The PMP certification is recognized as the gold standard in project management certifications. The number of PMP certification holders is expected to grow as the demand for skilled project managers increases.
